“Beat The AI” is the game-within-the-game: every week you get a handful of free predictions to test against our machine-learning model. This guide walks you through the entire flow, screen by screen.

2. How It Works (Three-Step Strip)
The page shows three illustrated boxes. In practice:
- Choose Your Fan Curve – pick a city/club to display your colours (cosmetic flair for the leaderboard).
- Place Weekly Picks – 5 free predictions per week, reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC.
- Climb the Leaderboard – earn points for accuracy, streaks and margin vs AI.
3. Weekly Challenge Modal – Anatomy
- Top banner – “Week 23 • 3 free picks left”.
- Fixture list – upcoming matches sorted by kick-off.
- Pick buttons – 1 / X / 2 toggles for each fixture.
- Confidence slider – optional 1-5 stars that multiply points if correct.
- Submit & Save – locks your card and shows a retro ticket animation.
4. Scoring System (same for everyone)

6. Common Pitfalls
- Don’t wait until Sunday night – early-kick fixtures lock the pick.
- Confidence ≠ certainty – 5-star on a 1.20 favourite yields fewer net points than 2-star on an underdog.
- Check the AI pick – displayed on each card so you know what you’re trying to beat.
7. Weekly Workflow
- Monday 00:00 UTC – free picks reset, collect 5.
- Scan fixtures, lock picks, submit.
- Watch live alignment bar for late info (optional).
- Sunday 23:59 UTC – results & leaderboard freeze.
